Dress for Success

There is an old saying that you never have a second chance to make a first impression.  After that first impression, you will either be working to build and strengthen that impression or working hard to overcome it.  There are certain situations where you can overdress, such as talking to someone who is facing foreclosure about buying their house.  Dressing too formally in that situation may create distance between you and the seller and cause distrust.  When it comes to marketing the education, however, you should dress for success.

When marketing, you need to present an image to your guests that you are a leader.  If you have worn out shoes or shirts, you should get new ones.  If your suit is wrinkled or worn, get it dry cleaned and pressed, or get a new suit.  Along with dressing properly to present your image, your personal hygiene should follow suit.  Be sure you are well kept and that you smell nice.  Ladies should be sure to dress professionally as well.  Presenting a positive first impression will have a positive impact on your sales.

The first thing you are ultimately trying to sell is yourself.  You can try to sell the Renatus education or the Renatus opportunity on its own, but to be successful you need to learn to sell yourself.  Make sure you are dressing appropriately and taking care to create a solid first impression, so you don’t have to put in additional work to overcome a bad impression.
